Environment is an area of mutual interest across the island. It provides a mutually beneficial platform to serve as a confidence, reconciliation and peace building element, to stimulate island-wide discussions and cooperation between the two sides/communities, through mutual activities related to the environment, and incorporate supporting funding mechanisms.
This platform aims to provide information to all interested parties about ongoing programmes and calls for proposals, both in Cyprus and at European level. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME: The global objective of this call for proposals is to support civil society in enhancing trust, dialogue, and cooperation and in promoting European Union values and standards through actions that contribute to promoting reunification of Cyprus.

Then check out the open call of the Iris Project.
The Iris Project works to enable young people to protect and restore nature as a core solution to the climate crisis.
The 3 prizes are:
- The Seed Prize: New idea not yet established (age 14-24) - $5000 USD
- The Stem Prize: Existing project established on a small scale (age 16-24) - $10,000 USD
- The Iris Prize: Established project with potential to replicate and scale (age 16-24) -$15,000 USD
Prize winning projects will receive peer-to-peer mentorship and capacity building support to the value of $10,000 USD per prize.

Support facility to the Bi-communal Technical Committees
Type of project: The overall objective of the “Support facility to the Bi-Communal Technical Committees” facility is to support the work the technical Commitees established by the two leaders in the context of the talks, with the provision of financial, conceptual, and operational support in the preparation and realization of small, ad-hoc activities as well as more substantive projects and interventions in support of confidence building measures.
It seeks to enable cooperation and encourage greater interaction and understanding between the sides/communities by addressing issues that affect the day-to-day life of people.

Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community
Type of project: The programme seeks to facilitate the reunification of Cyprus by encouraging the economic development of the Turkish Cypriot side/community. The programme aims to increase economic growth and help create more and better jobs through financial support to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, groups of companies and business support organisations in the Turkish Cypriot side/community.
